Prescillia Bavoil (69KG) Lands 225-kg (496-lb) Raw Squat IPF World Record at 2024 IPF Sheffield Powerlifting Championships – Fitness Volt

Prescillia Bavoil is continuing to push the limits of women’s 69KG powerlifting as she set a massive 225-kilogram (496-pound) Raw Squat IPF World Record on February 10th. The record came during Prescillia’s appearance at the 2024 IPF Sheffield Powerlifting Championships, where she faced some incredible athletes.

Prescillia Bavoil’s World Record came at the start of the competition, since squat was the first event. Knowing that the mark to beat was 211.5 kilograms (466.3 pounds), both she and Carola Garra were determined to exceed it.

Garra was the first woman to outperform the old U69KG IPF World Record, and she did so on her second attempt when she squatted 215 kilograms (474 pounds). Little did she know that Prescillia Bavoil would lift 3 kilograms (6.6 pounds) more just a minute later.

Going into her final attempt, Garra managed to squat 220 kilograms (485 pounds) and thus put the pressure on Bavoil. However, Prescillia was confident and decided to make a massive jump to 225 kilograms (496 pounds). Sure enough, it paid off, as she locked out the weight and earned a hard-fought World Record.

Prescillia Bavoil broke the U69KG IPF World Record by a mind-blowing margin of 13.5 kilograms (29.8 pounds). She was also the previous record holder, though, having initially set it at the 2023 IPF World Classic Powerlifting Championships.

Prescillia Bavoil’s Full Performance

Prescillia Bavoil has been one of the most consistent athletes at the highest level of powerlifting, but she has never had a better performance than her most recent one at the 2024 IPF Sheffield Powerlifting Championships. The best proof of this is the fact that she successfully performed all nine of her attempts and set new Competition PRs across all events.

Prescillia Bavoil’s Competition History

Prescillia Bavoil has 27 sanctioned powerlifting appearances under her belt, with the 2024 IPF Sheffield Powerlifting Championships accounted for. Out of those, Prescillia has managed to score 21 first-place finishes. She was close to increasing that number at the IPF Sheffield, but Agata Sitko was simply unbelievable on the day. So, Prescillia had to settle for a second place finish in the women’s division overall.
